  Om Sahana Vavatu  (Sanskrit: ॐ सह नाववतु) is the name of an ancient Sanskrit  mantra , commonly recited as a devotional prayer before sacred Hindu scriptures are studied. This mantra calls upon protection from divine universal consciousness.
